Relax and unwind with yoga and meditation
This course is designed to support teachers' well-being as it is one of the prerequisites to perform the teacher's job in high quality and with joy.
Teachers are overloaded by multitasking. They are educators, psychologists, mentors, parents, friends, listeners, managers, and many more at a time. Their job requires lots of concentration and brings a remarkable mental workload. In order not to burn out, it is crucial to learn how to release stress, restore energy, breathe, and focus on one single thing, how to switch off the mind.
In this course, you will get the space to slow down and release tension. You will learn basic exercises on how to stretch and strengthen your body. We will train concentration and breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. After the course, you will be able to incorporate all these practices into your everyday life and stay balanced, strong and healthy even when performing a demanding teacher's job. Participants will acquire techniques for increasing their mental, physical and emotional resilience.
You will also have the opportunity to evaluate your well-being in terms of quality of sleep, relationships, nutrition, movement, overall contentment, and other aspects.
After completing the course, participants will be able to teach their learners basic techniques acquired during this course.
The course is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate or advanced practitioners. We will practice basic poses considering the different flexibility of every individual. Variations will be offered.
Programme
Day 1: Orientation + introduction, guided tour in the venue, teambuilding activities
Day 2: Morning yoga for beginners, introduction to KLW chart, yoga philosophy (What is yoga? Eight limbs of yoga), yoga nidra relaxation
Day 3: Morning yoga flow + relaxation, breath and pranayama, hasta mudras, hathens, meditation – anchors, kinds of meditation
Day 4: Morning slow flow yoga, practising mudras, pranayama, balancing poses, balance, santosha, life in complience with well-being, meditation
Day 5: Yin yoga and restorative yoga, pratyahara, dharana, tratak, yoga nidra
Day 6: Hatha yoga, cleaning techniques, meditation
Day 7: Morning yoga flow, KLW chart evaluation and feedback, farewell
