Refresh and develop your English skills
The course is designed for both teachers and non-teachers (e.g., school assistants, managers, psychologists, special teachers, etc.) who want to refresh/develop their speaking and communication skills in English.
Through games, role-plays, and simulated real-life situations, mainly involving listening and speaking, the participants will actively use their English within the vocabulary and structures of CEFR levels A2-B2 to develop fluency and accuracy. A part of the course may take place beyond the classroom.
Interactive, engaging techniques will be applied to create a safe learning environment and encourage the participants to use their learning time effectively.
Features of this course include:

- both guided conversation and free discussion
- conversational language, thought-provoking questions, and vocabulary-building materials reflecting the different needs of the participants.
Programme:
Day 1: Arrival, orientation in the venue, guided walk, introduction, ice-breaking activities
Day 2: Expectations and needs; About Myself, the World and Me; listening & speaking exercises
Day 3: Relationships and leisure; listening & speaking exercises; English outdoor classroom
Day 4: Work life, vocabulary, listening& speaking activities
Day 5: Health Matters, physical and mental health, moods and feelings; dealing with sadness, anger and fear
Day 6: Social Issues; modern communications, mobiles, internet; social problems, crime and punishment; ethic issues; people with disabilities; government and
politics
Day 7: "Taboos" (the topics usually not found in textbooks) - i.e., the topics such as swear words, sex, drug abuse, alcohol, nudity, racial abuse, terrorism, democracy,… (words, gestures, social and cultural behavior, body language); evaluation & farewell
